Vampires of USA?
Filming on block one (episodes 3 and 4) of Doctor Who Series 6 wrapped last Thursday.
Director Richard Clark noted on Twitter: “Suranne [Jones] has been amazing and all cast a delight to work with… 6 weeks of editing still to go, then the fx, sound, music, colouring… Patience. It’ll be worth it.”
Next, shooting will begin on block 2 (episodes 1 and 2) with Toby Haynes this time in the Director’s chair.
Signs suggest that the production team may soon be heading to the USA.
According to a CV for the Line Producer, David Mason, Doctor Who will be doing a location shoot in the States. This was, tellingly, later removed from his CV.
One source said that the episode will be a loose adaptation of Blood Harvest – a novel written by Terrance Dicks in 1994. The book saw the Doctor in 1920s Chicago, with his companion trapped on a vampire-infested world.
It seems a bit soon for another vampire story and this may well just be bogus rumour, but who knows…As ever, we’ll just have to wait and see.
