The longlist nominations have opened for the
2015 National Television Awards and Doctor Who is represented in two categories.
The show has been nominated for Best Drama. It faces competition from a whole host of shows including Downton Abbey, Sherlock, The Musketeers and more.
Peter Capaldi is up for Drama Performance against Jenna Coleman, David Tennant, Benedict Cumberbatch and more besides in the combined category.

The longlist will be narrowed down to a shortlist in January when the final voting takes place. The awards ceremony will take place 21 January 2015.

Emmy Award
Doctor Who’s 50th anniversary docudrama An Adventure in Space and Time has also been nominated for a prestigious International Emmy Award.
The show is up against “Alexander and Other Heroes”, “Radio” and “Unsere Mütter”.
The winner will be announced at the end of November.
