The Complete Eighth Series DVD Extras
Extras and updated artwork have been revealed for the DVD and Blu-Ray boxset release of The Complete Eighth Series.
The 5-disc release contains all 12 episodes from Peter Capaldi’s debut series: ‘Deep Breath’, ‘Into the Dalek’, ‘Robot of Sherwood’, ‘Listen’, ‘Time Heist’, ‘The Caretaker’, ‘Kill the Moon’, ‘Mummy on the Orient Express’, ‘Flatline’, ‘In the Forest of the Night’, ‘Dark Water’ and ‘Death in Heaven’.
Extras include:
- Doctor Who: The Ultimate Time Lord (A 45-minute feature with Fifth Doctor Peter Davison)
- Doctor Who: The Ultimate Companion (A second 45-minute feature with Fifth Doctor Peter Davison)
- Doctor Who: Earth Conquest (A 45-minute documentary about the 2014 Doctor Who World Tour)
- Four exclusive audio commentaries (Episodes and contributors TBC)
- Doctor Who Exclusive (Four two-minute cast interviews)
- Doctor Who Extra (12 10-minutes behind the scenes features)
- Deep Breath Cinema Panel (Exclusive 30-minute feature, recorded in London on 23 August 2014, featuring Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and Steven Moffat, and hosted by Zoe Ball)
The UK (Region 2) release is due 17 November 2014, just over a week after the finale broadcast. Region 4 is out 19 November, while Region 1 is 9 December.
