UPDATE: Unfortunately, Doctor Who lost out once again to Downton Abbey for Best Drama.
Original article: Shortlist nominations have opened for this year’s National Television Awards.
Doctor Who has been nominated for Best Drama. It faces competition this year from Broadchurch, Casualty and Downton Abbey.
Neither Peter Capaldi or Jenna Coleman made it through to the Best Drama Performance category. However, David Tennant did for his role on Broadchurch.
