Series 14 Will Contain 8 Episodes, but RTD “Has Plans”
Showrunner Russell T Davies has confirmed the episode count of Series 14, the first full series of his new era airing in 2024, starring Ncuti Gatwa.
Speaking in the new issue of Doctor Who Magazine, Davies confirmed that there will be eight episodes.
He explained: “OK, that’s fewer episodes than the last full season. But give us time. We have plans, and that’s a promise!”
This could be a hint at the rumoured spin-offs.
There will also be another Christmas special in 2024. In fact, RTD confirmed he’s writing it now: “For the first time ever, I’m writing a Christmas Special… at Christmas!”
“The 2023 [Christmas] script has been long since signed-off. The new one is for end-of-year 2024!”
