“Revolution of the Daleks” Preview Confirms Major Cast Exits, A Series 11 Character Return & More
The latest issue of SFX magazine (#355) confirms some major new info about the upcoming special “Revolution of the Daleks”.
First, the rumour of Tosin Cole and Bradley Walsh exiting was correct (scratch another one for the Mirror).
On their departure, Chibnall teases: “It is Ryan and Graham’s final episode in the show. So it’s big, and it’s epic. It’s emotional”.
Second, it won’t just be Captain Jack making a return, Chris Noth will also reprise his role as villainous businessman Jack Robertson from Series 11 episode “Arachnids in the UK”.
Chibnall explains to the publication why they decided to bring Noth back: “We love this character. It’s a fabulous performance from Chris. He loved being in the show and was really keen to come back. And his character story didn’t feel like it was at an end. He was disgraced at the end of the previous episode, where we left him, and the story of his recovery and how he claws back into the world continues in this story.”
The other piece of major casting is confirmation that Dame Harriet Walter will be guest starring.
Finally, “Revolution of the Daleks” is a 70-minute special.
