Moffat Has Seen Ncuti Gatwa in Action as the Doctor: “He is Magnificent”
Former Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has nothing but positive words for Ncuti Gatwa’s casting as the Doctor.
In an interview with the Telegraph, Moffat reveals he has actually watched him in action as the Time Lord, so it’s not faint praise.
He said: “Russell [T Davies] showed me [Ncuti Gatwa’s] audition tape a while back.
“He is magnificent: all at once a brand new hero and the same wonderful mad old Doctor we’ve always known.
He concludes: “Trust me, we are all in for a treat.”
