Matt Smith’s Last Year on Doctor Who?

Matt Smith has been confirmed to star in Doctor Who for another 14 episodes

. That much is already certain. However, his future beyond that is not clear.

In a video interview earlier this week, Smith was asked if he’s going to try and break America, and he said “Hopefully soon. I’ve got another year on Doctor Who, but then I’m going to come and give it a shot and hang out in LA.”

It’s not the first time Matt Smith has talked about trying to start a Hollywood career. But, this could obviously still be interpreted in a number of ways. Matt has also said on a few occasions now that he will be around for the 50th anniversary, which would extend past the 14 episodes he is signed up for.
