Chibnall: “The Gender Issue is Pretty Bypassed” in Series 11

The Doctor’s gender change will “barely get a mention” in the opening episode of Series 11, according to a report in the Daily Star.

Chibnall is quoted by the publication as saying: “The gender issue is pretty by-passed. It’s not really a kind of a gender-related story or anything like that.

He continues: “The first story is much more a story of survival for the new Doc.

“The last we saw of her she was falling through the air above planet Earth so it’s less about gender and more about: ‘How am I going to get out of this?’”
