The cynic in me can't help but feel that "YES, their friendship will survive this episode!" as Clara kind of needs to get home...

I have hopes it will be better than DInosaurs on A Spaceship. That one was a disappointment. Great effects, not a great story.

I love dinosaurs and I am glad its rampaging in London not Sydney, I wonder if it will eat anyone

Spontaneous combustion is a FANTASTIC idea for a Victorian-set Doctor Who episode, truly brilliant. Hope there's a great explanation for that.

Ooh, the dinosaur is in Episode 1. Can't wait!

Sounds like a good old fashioned detective story. And I just love detective stories with a mix of sci-fi.

Could the spontaneous combustions be somebody trying to create regenerations? Not sure about the Dinosaurs but it sounds awesome.

More of a blurb than a synopsis. Also, the dinosaur has been in the trailers, so no surprises. Sadly I made the mistake of reading a spoiler loaded review and know why the dinosaur is there - but won't ruin it for anyone else!

Dinosaur rampant IN the Thames? So there's more than just the T-Rex? WICKED!!!! (I just sounded like a nineties teenager, didn't I?)

Well, I'm still a little worried by how the T Rex is going to be pulled off - but the prospect of deadly spontaneous combustions has evoked an enthusiastic reaction from me that probably isn't healthy!

"into the heart of an alien conspiracy"...could this be about the Doctor?

I hope Moffat has a Time-Crack ready to erase peoples' minds that there were dinosaurs in Victorian London. Wouldn't want a repeat of what happened in The Next Doctor.

PS: I don't care about Dreadnought Cybermen, I loved TND.

The reviews for this episode so far have been amazing! I cannot wait to see this on the big screen :)

When I noticed that there would be a T-Rex roaming London, I was worried about the execution, I wasn't too keen on Dinosaurs on a Spaceship (it was good but the least enjoyable of Series 7B for me). I hope they get it just right (for me). I hope that this episode lives up to the expectations of the fandom and i'm sure it will be amazing!

All I want from this episode now is for the two plot elements "tyrannosaur" and "deadly spontaneous combustion" to come together in a CGI-festive manner.

deadly spontaneous combustion sounds a bit like regeneration

It does say "Dinosaur", not "Dinosaurs". I think you might be misinterpreting/over-reading.

@The Finn Well, from the angle of the Houses of Parliament seen in the trailer it seems the T Rex is actually wading in the Thames there - so depending on how literal that "IN" is (does it mean it spends its time submerged as well?)... it seems there may be more to it than first appears!

This is a much darker Doctor. He simply kills everybody who saw the Dinosaur. Simple.

Wouldn't the UNIT years cause the same kind of problem? All kinds of aliens were roaming the Earth back then.

@Gustaff Well, you can just picture it, if a crack we didn't see erased the cyberman, let's assume another erased the dinosaur :p

It wasn't in 7b it was in 7a with the ponds

@gunslinger19 That'll be how the Twelfth Doctor regenerates - he just spontaneously combusts.

@Galax @Gustaff Or people "assumed it was a hallucination" like they've been doing for half the stories since 1963

@sontaran17 @Gustaff Yes, but didn't he create the impression that the events of TND were somehow erased via the cracks. Same with the Dalek Invasion? Must confess, I'm not entirely sure now.

@sontaran17 @Gustaff But after TND aired, Russell T Davies was asked why a giant robot didn't turn up in the history books and he looked like he had forgotten to turn the iron off.

No. You have to fill out the relevant paperwork first. New rules I'm afraid.

@Gustaff @sontaran17 Yeah, of course but there was, of course, the substantial gap between TND and TToA/FaS where fans were scratching their heads wondering.
