DWM #433: Who’s Marked for Death?

Four covers for the upcoming issue of Doctor Who Magazine have been unveiled. But most intriguing part – one of the characters on the front is going to be killed in the Series 6 opener.

Steven Moffat tells the mag: “We’re not lying, we’re not cheating: one of those four people is going to die! When I came up with this heart-wrenching twist, I thought “We’ll kill off one of the leads in the season opener.” It lures you in.”

Given that we have seen all four alive and kicking in latter episodes both in the trailers and filming, we know that whoever bites the bullet, they will be back in some form.

As Amy, Rory and the Doctor all definitely in episode 3, the most likely candidate for “death” is River. Before you say “Forest of the Dead”, let’s not forget with Moffat, Time Can Be Rewritten.
