Site Errors
The 50th anniversary celebrations have naturally seen a massive surge in traffic this weekend and unfortunately it’s meant that some readers are temporarily unable to get on the site or met with an error screen. We are working with the hosting company to resolve the problems and apologise for any inconvenience.
Comments not appearing
Some users are experiencing issues with the Disqus commenting system that the site uses.
The problem appears to be that the comments do not show up at all, or load indefinitely. This issue is not effecting everyone as the majority of you are still able to comment as normal.
If you are suffering from this problem, please try the following:

- Clear your browser cookies. Find details here.
- Try clearing everything else (except passwords) if the first two solutions fail, using the same methods above.
- Make sure browser cookies are enabled. Find details here
- Make sure Javascript is enabled. Details here.
A number of readers with the problem have found success following these steps. If none of these work, as a last resort, try another switching to a different web browser.
