Neither Peter Capaldi or Jenna Coleman were on location for Friday’s filming. Instead a short scene was filmed with Coleman’s doubles (both male and female!) standing in.

In the scene two a pair of Coal Hill pupils are looking up at the sky worried as a plane has somehow been frozen in the sky…
Clara passes on her bike and isn’t so phased by it however.

She stops and speaks to the kids:
Clara: “Exciting isn’t it?”
Coal Hill Pupil: “I’m frightened.”
Clara: “Same thing. Shouldn’t you be at school?”
Earlier in the week Jenna Coleman was on set filming scenes at Tonyrefail School, which is standing in as Coal Hill again. She was looking out her classroom window up at the sky once again.
Filming has continued on the Series 9 opener of Doctor Who this week, and a few intriguing details have emerged thanks to some public filming.
