Ian McKellen Voicing The Snowmen

And the big news just keeps on coming today (so much for a quiet weekend). Veteran actor Sir Ian McKellen is to guest in Doctor Who.

According to the Radio Times, McKellen is providing the voice of the titular Snowmen in this year’s Christmas special.

McKellen needs little introduction with many big movie blockbusters to his name including The Lord of the Rings, the X-men series and, most recently, The Hobbit (alongside a certain Sylvester McCoy).

Even though it’s just a voice role, this is a quite a coup for Doctor Who.
