Hugo Winner Neil Gaiman Returns
The Neil Gaiman penned story The Doctor’s Wife won the prize for ‘Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form’.
During Gaiman’s acceptance speech, he revealed he was working on another Doctor Who script.
“Only a fool or a mad man would try to do it again . . . so I’m on the third draft,” he said.
The award marks the sixth Hugo win for Doctor Who.
UPDATE: Gaiman told io9 that his episode is currently slated for the second half of Series 7. But as with The Doctor’s Wife, it could end up slipping to a future series due to “budgetary reasons”.
