Episode 1 has “Every Dalek known to man”
Doctor Who producer Caroline Skinner has revealed some more details on the Series 7 opener.
Skinner says the episode, written by Steven Moffat, has actually surpassed Chris Chibnall’s episode for using the biggest set in Doctor Who history.
She tells Doctor Who Magazine: “We’ll have more physical Daleks in the room than ever before in the history of Doctor Who. The running total is somewhere between 20 and 30 real ones.
“We’re collecting every Dalek known to man. Lots of different Daleks. It’s going to be great.”
Skinner also confirms that a day of the Spanish shoot was used for the opener, filmed in the snowy mountains of Sierra Nevada: “We did a day in the snow while out in Spain for Episode 3 and it looks amazing, like James Bond meets Inception.”
