Synopsis

In the far future, Satellite Five broadcasts to the entire Earth Empire. But anyone promoted to Floor 500 is never seen again, and the Doctor suspects mankind is being manipulated. Nothing escapes the eye of the sinister Editor – but just who is he working for? And does Adam have what it takes to become the Time Lord’s companion?

It took Simon Pegg several takes to pronounce ‘The Mighty Jagrafess of the Holy Hadrojassic Maxarodenfoe’ correctly.

Satellite 5 is revisted in episode ‘Bad Wolf’ 100 years later as ‘The Gamestation’.

In Bad Wolf, it’s also revealed that the Jagrafess’s masters were actually the Daleks.

The episode title is refering to the long game being played by the Doctor.
