Your Verdict on Class: Series 1 Ranked & Graded
It’s time to reveal how you voted in Doctor Who TV’s polls for Series 1 of Doctor Who’s new spin-off, Class.
Each week for the duration of the BBC3 run, we asked you to grade the episodes from the highest of an ‘A+’ to the lowest of an ‘F’. Over 8,000 of you voted in total across the weeks, so let’s take a look at how things panned out.
Rankings
To determine a ranking we applied the grades to a 10-point scale to allow us to get an average and form an order from lowest to highest. The results are as follows:
8. Episode 4 “Co-Owner of a Lonely Heart”
7. Episode 2 “The Coach with the Dragon Tattoo”
6. Episode 5 “Brave-ish Heart”
5. Episode 1 “For Tonight We Might Die”
4. Episode 3 “Nightvisiting”
3. Episode 7 “The Metaphysical Engine, or What Quill Did”
2. Episode 6 “Detained”
1. Episode 8 “The Lost”
Series Average Score
Perhaps surprisingly given its muted reception, Class was rather consistently rated across its first series run, at least in the eyes of the majority of DWTV voters taking part. Grades of “B” or “B+” were considered “good” or “very good” respectively on the DWTV score scale. We see that none of the episodes were voted low enough to even reach middle of the road or worse. At the same time however, none were quite able to achieve the highest accolades of them all. And these would rank more on the low side of things if compared directly to recent Doctor Who episode scores.
