Torchwood to air in US first?

The US air date for Torchwood: Miracle Day has been known for months – Friday 8th July on Starz. We haven’t been so lucky in the UK.

We expected the date to finally be confirmed today as the BBC release programme info for the week up to 8th July. However, the show does not actually appear anywhere in their highlights, now pointing to a later UK broadcast.

Given that Miracle Day is a co-production between the BBC and Starz and therefore still part-funded by the UK licence fee, it seems very strange that UK fans will be forced to wait.

It’s still possible the show could be added to the schedule as a late addition, but at the moment it doesn’t look good.
