Take a trip to Skaro!

It’s a few days early but who’s complaining? Originally scheduled for release on Saturday, the first Doctor Who Adventure Game is available now in the UK for free! Episode one is titled City of the Daleks and features a trip to London in 1963 where the city has been overrun by Daleks. Even more excitingly though, you will get a chance to visit the Daleks home planet, Skaro.

Here’s the minimum PC system requirements:

Operating System: Windows XP (with Service Pack 2)
Processor: Intel Pentium4 1.6 GHz+ or AMD Sempron 2800 + or higher
Memory: Windows XP / Windows 7 – 512 MB, Windows Vista – 1GB
Free Hard Disk Space: 2Gb (plus additional working space)
Sound Card: Direct X 9 compatible
Graphics Card: 100% DirectX 9 or above compatible. 128 Mb memory. Pixel Shader 2.0 or above with the latest drivers for your card.

The BBC have a system tester you can run if you’re not sure if your PC can run it.

Mac owners will have to wait as the release is scheduled for 15th June. For those of you outside the UK, the BBC has now confirmed it will be available in other regions in early July, but at a cost.

The second episode, coming soon after, features the Cybermen and is rumoured be called Winter of Terror.
