Graham teases “Massive Showdown”

In an interview with TV & Satellite Week magazine, writer Matthew Graham let slip some details on The Almost People.

“Steven Moffat wanted to do something with replicas, like Invasion of the Body Snatchers where you couldn’t tell whether you were looking at your friend or a creature pretending to be your friend. From that, duplicating the Doctor just seemed a natural and fun thing to do,” says Graham.

“The Doctor and his clone become muddled up and everything becomes complex. There are many twists and viewers won’t be sure which Doctor is which.

“Amy has a dilemma concerning the two Doctors and is struggling over which one she can trust, which leads to a massive final showdown. There will be repercussions and a whopping cliffhanger. The Doctor knows something about Amy and is keeping it secret.”
