Gillan: No Amy for 50th
“I’m not in it, just to put that out there,” she told the Radio Times.
However she adds: ‘I’m going to watch it! …I think I’m going to be in America, so I’ll probably round up all the people who like to watch Doctor Who in the area. We’ll probably watch it and drink PG Tips and eat Jammy Dodgers, if I can get them.”
Earlier in the week, Gillan also gave her brief thoughts on the casting of Matt Smith’s successor, Peter Capaldi.
She said on Daybreak: “I think it’s an amazing choice. And he’s Scottish! Let’s see if he keeps the accent. I hope he does because that’ll be really cool.” Fortunately for Gillan, Moffat has already said that he will.
Gillan described her and Capaldi’s first appearances on The Fires of Pompeii as a “weird coincidence.” Although perhaps Moffat has other plans in mind.
