Capaldi: My Roman Alter-ego May Appear Again in Series 9
As many fans know, Capaldi guest starred as the aforementioned character in Series 4 episode, “The Fires of Pompeii,” years before he was took on the role of the 12th Doctor.
Speaking at the recent Apple “Meet the Cast” event, Capaldi said: “With regards to my Roman alter-ego, there will be a… he may appear again.”
Capaldi later added: “He will certainly be invoked.”
Of course this doesn’t come as a surprise, as Steven Moffat has been saying for a while now that Capaldi’s past appearances in the Whoniverse will be addressed, possibly dating back to a theory Russell T Davies came up with after Capaldi’s Torchwood casting.
