Armstrong Filming Christmas 2011 Special

Filming on this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special has been continuing this week.

We already know that the episode will be set during World War 2. Earlier in the week, filming took place at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre. Guest star Alexander Armstrong was shooting scenes and tweeted: “I sat in a Lancaster yesterday. Hadn’t twigged it was Filming in Warplanes Day…”

Armstong also posted a picture of Matt Smith and himself in an RAF uniform on location at Stradey Castle. Fans of The Armstrong and Miller Show will instantly notice the similarity to their World War 2 comedy sketch. We assume this pilot wont speak chav!
