Toby Whithouse will write another episode for Series 6 of Doctor Who, it has been confirmed.

Whithouse has written two episodes since the show returned in 2005. His first brought Sarah Jane and K9 back to our screens in School Reunion. He was more recently responsible for this year’s The Vampires of Venice.

Outside of Doctor Who, Whithouse is perhaps best known as the creator of BBC’s Being Human. He also wrote Torchwood story Greeks Bearing Gifts.

The news comes from executive producer Piers Wenger who revealed the info in an interview with Crave Online.

With all the Spring episode writers already confirmed, we now know that his episode will be between episodes 9-13. Although obviously it’s unlikely he’ll be writing the finale.
