The Doctor trilogy trailer, Doctor who meets Red dwarf and the Doctor's facebook look back were great and the titans comic book covers were great to.

Ok, this idea will blow your mind & someone needs to get Moffat to do it.  What about two Masters? We've had loads of multi-Doctor stories but never to my knowledge a mulit-Master story. Imagine it! John Simm & Charles Dance v Capaldi!

The trilogy trailer was well done. :)

What I don't understand is why everyones saying "RECAST THE MASTER!!!" Why? John Simm wants to return as the Master, he wants to be a darker master and Moffat has said time and time again that John Simm is the Master!
When Matt Smith wanted William Shatner to play the Master, Moffat said "No" and joked that John Simm would "beat him up"

Stalking the cast, now, Mickey, are we? :p

Plus how do you pronounce that? The DDDDDDalekSSSSSSS.....

Anyway, great Weird and Wonderful as always!

I can't believe Alex Kingston still looks as fantastic as she does at her age! She's a bit older than Doctor Who itself...and still lookin good ;) Yup, still got it sweetie.

Anyone seen "Doctor Who Series 8 : The Master Returns" ? Can't believe this website missed it almost three weeks in a row o.o

The Titan comics art looks very similar to a few bits of fan art I've seen. The Stonehenge speech, the TARDIS, guest appearance from Irene Adler. Same artist?

Hope Titan does a good job with the comics. Kinda funny that we Americans for once get something Who related the Brits won't.

Unfortunately for anyone looking to buy Titan's Doctor Who comic book range in the UK, you can only do so digitally. Titan's Doctor Who comics won't be available in print in the UK, due to licensing issues.

Mickey seems to be 'Meeting' a lot of Who actors at the moment... maybe too much

@Jaylcookie That actually did just blow my mind. That. Would be. Epic. Can we all get a petition running or something? :D

@Jaylcookie Charles Dance would be a great choice for the Master, so that we could have an incarnation that reflects the current Doctor.

@YgorVale I'm kind of with you on that one. Anthony Ainley got to hang out with no less than 4 different Doctors, and that was something I enjoyed. Watching, not the way he acted/reacted around the Doctor, but how each one did around him.

I'm just going to go ahead and say it... Benedict Cumberbatch!

I would like for Simm to return (but with a beard, and with less of the 'madness'). But I think an older actor would work better opposite Capaldi, so I would like it if Simm regenerated after one episode or so, preferably into Charles Dance, because he has Master written all over him, and because he's an amazing actor. The difference with the Smith era is that if the Master would've appeared, Simm would still work, because of the eleventh doctor's personality and apparent age.

TardisConverse

@YgorVale  It's completely and utterly possible. There are no rules in Doctor Who. It's heavily rumoured that both Charles Dance & Steve John Shepherd will be playing two different incarnations of the Master in Series 8.

John Simm's Master was amazing :-) but I feel he wouldn't have the same chemistry with Peter and Jenna that he did with David. I would like a more serious master for a serious doctor.

BeyondThePolice
BeyondThePolice

@YgorVale  It's the same reason as new Doctor; the Master is a Time Lord, and that means change. Simm has already had two outings as the Master, and they were great. I think it's a good time to move on, though. A new, older Master to match a new, older Doctor.

YgorVale
YgorVale

@TardisConverse I don't think the Master can regenerate anymore, as established in End of Time, the Masters body was dying.

TheCapaldiMasterplan
TheCapaldiMasterplan

@DasManiac  We will get it, just we have to pay more because it will be imported from the US even though it's a British produced comic.

JamesTKirk

Oh it'll be available in print form eventually. Always is. I bought my IDW Who comics on both sides of the pond.

If Mr Dance were to play the Master, it would have to be with a beard, because without it he looks a lot like Hartnell. No, seriously, the resemblance is uncanny.

Tardis Stowaway
Tardis Stowaway

@BeyondThePolice @YgorVale Alternatively, perhaps a master radically different from the Doctor is something that might be a good thing? It makes him less predictable and more unnerving to the Doctor? Dunno, just a thought I had. :)

Judge Claude Frollo
Judge Claude Frollo

The Master has ran out of regenerations, got destroyed by a fictional city drowned in a pool of magma and been defeated by a multitude of people saying a word. And yet he still lived. Ya never know.

DasManiac
DasManiac

@TheCapaldiMasterplan @DasManiac Yeah but it's just funny that a British comic made by a British publisher has to be sold through other means in its native country. I don't see why copyright laws allow companies like Panini to maintain a monopoly on certain properties.

YgorVale
YgorVale

@Clara Prefect If the Master does return it'll have to be John Simm, I really don't think the Time Lords would give the Master any regenerations again, and remember even if the Master comes back, he'll still be dying.
