Voted for Breaking Bad, can't say I liked DOTD.

There's a bias against long running shows I presume, and I imagine they want to reward originality, but for DOTD not to be represented in ANY of the 'proper' categories is pretty poor, indeed it only got one nomination in the technical craft awards (for VTX). For a TV show to be that epic, shot in 3D, and to pack out cinemas around the world is unique, and surely be applauded as a major triumph for British TV.

I have voted for The Day of the Doctor so fingers crossed it wins and I hope An Adventure in Space and Time wins the best single drama award as well because that was brilliant.

Whilst the day of the doctor was good, nothing can be compared to the, what is in my opinion the greatest show of all time BREAKING BAD, that show is pure gold from start to finish, nether have I felt so emotionally attached to a shows characters that I have whilst watching this

masterpiece. The only down side is that afteritsover, everything else seems a bit crap in comparison.Breaking Bad you get my vote.

Voted for Day Of The Doctor. It must win...even for Capaldi's eyes alone. Truly one of my favourite episodes. I loved how they even showed birds circling over alien sands as in Hartnells speech to Ian way back in the time vortex of 1963

Doctor Who, Broadchurch, Breaking Bad... The Great British Bakeoff...

I hope Doctor who wins but its up against stiff competition, the Drama output as of late has been fantastic.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   And An Adventure in Space and Time was nominated? That's a pleasant surprise, I was expecting the BAFTA's to drift straight by that one.

The only other thing I can see getting in the way of Doctor Who winning these awards is Broadchurch, which was broadly speaking, fantastic by Chris Chibnall. The Day of the Doctor and Adventure fully deserve to win these; the 50th Anniversary of the greatest show on Earth doesn't come around all the time and I was so ecstatic that it won so big in this year's national TV awards.

Absolutely love Breaking Bad, but I just have to give it to Doctor Who, the best show in the world.

The Day of the Doctor. It should win for that title alone in my opinion!

Very surprised that David Bradley wasn't nominated for Lead Actor in AAISAT

Voted Breaking Bad, but Doctor Who came very close.

"Day of the Doctor" was pretty much perfect television. I'd say it deserves this.

I so hope The Day of the Doctor wins but I have a feeling that Gogglebox will snatch this one. I hope I'm wrong.

Fingers crossed for Doctor Who! Broadchurch will be a strong contender though!

I'm completely shocked that Matt hasn't been nominated. I don't think there's anything more he could have done, he was sensational last year.

Doctor Who for the win! Although Broadchurch might give it a run for its money, so to speak.

Sometimes I wonder why they even bother to nominate other shows. Doctor Who all the way! Mind you... Sherlock.

I looked at the other options out of interest, Doctor Who: The Day of The Doctor will win!

@RhonDOH I definitely felt weird being an Australian the first time I through all the NTA categories. Sort of used to it now though, anything to keep Doctor Who on the radar

@Notsosmartguy Well 3 of them are like documentaries/reality TV so that's kind of fair enough, but it does surprise me that you haven't heard of Broadchurch given the fact that there's a testimonial for it on this very website...

Go watch Broadchurch. That simple. One of the most affecting pieces of television I've ever seen. Got David Tennant and Arthur Darvill, too. And David Bradley, star of An Adventure in Space and Time.

@Wibbly-Wobbly Strawberry Jelly It can't be the violence that set's these apart. Have you seen how much real blood is in the Bake Off? A lot of the contestants really don't know how to handle sharp kitchen utensils....

But he has been nominated for supporting actor for Broadchurch.

Because AAISAT was an one off, was it possible for him to be nominated? (This is a genuine question which I don't know the answer to.)

@HitchcockWhovian Don't forget it's written by Chris Chibnall and directed by James Strong and Euros Lyn. The programme has a very stong Who pedigree..!

(And it's worth watching as a lot of the location work was filmed near my home city and a work colleague of mine appears in it as an SA..!)
