Like it or loathe it the mainstream press are continuing to circulate a whole host of names for 12th Doctor. Today the Sun are claiming Julian Rhind-Tutt is on the shortlist:

GREEN WING’S Julian Rhind-Tutt is in the running to be the new Doctor Who – after missing out when Matt Smith was cast. Julian was down to the last few contenders to take on the Time Lord’s mantle after David Tennant quit but was pipped to the role by Matt. Insiders said Julian is on the shortlist again.

They also suggest Torchwood’s Burn Gorman (Owen), Emun Elliott and Richard Coyle are all in the running.

Lastly, David Harewood has also shown interest in the role: “Obviously it would be really difficult to turn down. It would be very exciting if the phone rang, but I doubt it,” he said on Loose Women yesterday.
