The base on that TARDIS is looking pretty knackered already... I thought it was a new prop from TTOTD so to be that damaged it must have seen quite a bit of action in the last month. *grins*

What if the extra isn't a extra but a future Doctor?

Let me guess, I hope it's not true but there trying to recreate, Amy and Rory Dimanic aren't they, Clara and Mr Pink are gonna be lovers and he will eventually join the TARDIS, Rinse and repeat. But It doe t matter I suppose if he is a strong and entertaining character, and both of them Bieng teachers from coal hill school is a nice throwback so mabey they get a free pass on rehashing old character traits this time.

The people in Cardiff must be used to people walking around in space suits and seeing blue telephone boxes.

I heard somewhere that the guy in orange is Capaldi's stunt double

The suit says sanctuary base six!!! Either he's gotten a hold of the Doctor's Sanctuary Base Six space suit, or he was actually a crew member of SB6! You could just say it's any old orange space suit from that era, but it says SB6! Exited!

It's crazy how much work goes into doing these small little scenes, having to do them over and over and over again!!!!! I would never be able to pull it off lol.

Capaldi nailed the Doctor with his first appearance with just those eyebrows, so imagine what it will be like when we get to see him actually speak. This is gonna be epic! The show was already turned up to 11 with the run of episodes from 7A to Time of the Doctor but now it goes up to 12.

3:42, Is that Ten walking past?

Certainly wearing a similar coat anyway.

The TARDIS is a darker blue, if the exterior has changed maybe the interior has changed. I have a theory to what this all is. Clara is dating Danny (btw I don't want this to happen) so the doctor drops her off for her date. Clara seems angry when she walks out the restaurant so maybe it didn't go well.

Has anyone noticed that the Doctor is wearing a black shirt as opposed to the white we were shown in the costume pic? It's already adapting!!!

This feels like a whole new show.

Having this being my first real transaction (I started watched religiously in Matt's reign) I hope this has a significant change to the previous.

I'm so excited :)

Is it me or is the Tardis more Tennant Blue then Smith blue in this shot?

I used studiously avoid spoilers, but these days it can be anywhere from 3 to 10 months before I see an episode after it airs. So it doesn't really matter any longer. Thanks for posting. However long it takes me to finally see S-8, I'm sure Doctor Who will continue to leave me with a grin on my face as the closing credits roll. Another fine post from this site.

The sanctuary base mentions Torchwood a few times, so maybe Danny works for the future version of it which issues these basic suits for workers. I wouldn't mind that.

The Doctor and Clara get out the Tardis, they see Danny and the Doctor's probably mocking him, but Clara is just unsure of him. Then the Doctor says something, so that makes her want to go, because he called him or said something about her so that it would make her want to go, a bit like when 4 tried to tell Sarah she was rubbish, so she got through. It obviously doesn't work out with Danny, then she forgot something and then he comes looking for her and it all starts from there. At a guess?

Man just watching Capaldi step out and get back in the TARDIS proves he was born for this!  There was no other choice for 12, so excited for the next series.

I think Clara is on a date with Danny Pink and it doesn't work out because we can see Clara is dressed quite smartly and then we see her walking quickly out of the restaurant this could imply thy don't get on properly

Nailed it, Jenna.

Capaldi seems to be staring at something.

Now that I think about it, I'm not so opposed to Danny being a lover interest to Clara. But I think it's best if they have a "woman in her twenties and her boyfriend" perspective on it rather than "the love of my life" perspective they took with Amy and Rory (which I adored).

Could the extra be a stunt double for Capaldi perhaps? He looks a similar build.

Please don't be a love interest!

According to a comment on YouTube, in the scene where Clara leaves the TARDIS the Doctor tells her "11.00 p.m. and not a minute later, young lady, and don't slam the door when you come in!"

@TardisToronto From all the filming pictures I've seen since Series 7 began shooting, the colour of this prop's paintwork varies greatly depending on the lighting used. For instance, when TTOTD was being filmed, and from filming pics last month, it appeared really light and vivid, yet in some shots for TBOSJ and indeed this episode, it looked really dark. It's normally sorted out in post-production :)

They are almost certain to make the relationship different from the Ponds. It is too quick to have a similiair pair as companions.

@TheNameOfTheDoctor It was spotted a few days ago when they were filming on another location. He's wearing a black sweater with white spots underneath the Crombie jacket.

@Liana21 Option B would seem more likely, since other people in similar night dressing were also seen as far as I'm aware.

I think there's a certain charm about the Doctor's recurring use of this particular spacesuit. It's featured in at least three stories now, across two actor's eras (the episode currently filming will make it three actor's eras), so it's becoming rather iconic in it's own right. Who is wearing it in this instance (and why), I don't have a clue, but I'm glad its back.

Gallade Zero
Gallade Zero

@Regenerated Catterson Well, at least it's believable that the Doctor would keep that spacesuit around on the TARDIS somewhere and dust it off every now and then.

Stunt doubles don't have to look exact. Also, it's a space suit; it comes with a helmet.
