Psychic paper's back?
I can't wait for the 10 minutes to go teaser :)
Yay, Psychic paper! I've missed it being used more often. It seemed in the Eleventh Doctor's era it was mostly used for receiving messages or comic relief. I'd be glad for it to be used more! I like the new case, too... maybe since they made that, it will be used more often?
It says tonight at 7:50 for me.... :P
I like the new wallet prop the physic paper is kept in.
I want the last teaser to be The Doctor saying "One day to go".
yay something we can recognise
Great to see the psychic paper again which hasn't been used much since the Tennant era although it has made brief appearances with Matt Smith. I hope it's brought back a lot more now.
Yay, psychic paper! I hope it's here to stay.
DID EVERYONE ELSE SEE THE CRACK IT TIME ON THE PSYCIC PAPER?
Okay... this is my favourite of the '5 Day' teasers!
If whoever shot this episode's sequence doesn't get every award going, I will class this as a crime against humanity. These are some of the best television visuals I've ever seen.
Hurray the return of the psychic paper :D
Oh, I really miss the Psychic Paper.
Probably my favourite so far.
it is nice to see the psychic paper I have forgotten when I ;last saw it
So has anyone mentioned how good it is to see the psychic paper? Possibly meaning it's going to be used more again? Oh, right, nearly all of you. What about 2 days being too long? Oh, the majority again. Ummm... Well, not sure I can really add anything here... This is awkward... I'll try and get here quicker next time!
Hmm we need a Video Editing-savvy Whovian to string all these together tomorrow when we get the final teaser!! Also nice to see the Psychic paper make an appearance, I feel like 11 only used it like twice. Only times I can think of is Vampires in Venice and Nightmare in Silver. Maybe in Night Terrors, but I can't remember for sure if he did or not.
2 DAYS!!!!!! Psychic Paper yay, I love the psychic paper, hope it gets used more in this series.
Hazzah! The psychic paper makes a comeback! :D
If the psychic paper tells me what I want to see, why does it say "2 days to go" instead of "Holy crap! Turn on your TV!"
I thought the psychic paper told you what you wanted to see. 2 days is too long!
Nice to see he still has his psychic paper. 11 rarely used it ( well in NIS he did but whatever).
Hey!! I completely forgot about the phsycic paper!!
O-Oh! If the psychic paper says it's 2 days that means we just want to believe it comes in 2 days... But who knows what's the truth!
cant remember the last time i saw psychic paper, it certainly hasnt been used that much
Hey, the Psychic Paper came back! I really missed that!
@DoctorWhoFangirl1337It's just the reflection on the plastic casing, nothing more.
@DoctorWhoFangirl1337 A bit.
@Mercy Reborn2 Nightmare in Silver was when it was last used, although it was only a very brief appearance.
@Timhogan In The Power of Three, Kate Stewart sends him a message on it. We don't actually get to see it well, he just glances at it and says something about how he respects her ability to use it.
Oh, and in A Good Man Goes to War, there is a reference to it.
He used it in the Almost People, too.
Don't forget A Christmas Carol! :P
@Timhogan I have some editing experience. I could take a stab at it. :)
@Doctor When Actually the paper tells you what its holder *needs* you to see. 2 days is just fine.
@ Notsosmartguy the dalek of Jersey He also used it in Dinosaurs on a Spaceship, to get the alert from the Indian Space Agency, as well as that wooden puppet episode when he got alerted to do a house call.
Well it did short out in ACC :D maybe it took him a long time to repair it :P
@The 4th Doctor Last time was Nightmare in Silver.
Hope they'll use it more often, so fans will be able to criticize it for being a cop out or a deus ex machina or other posh critics slang words. :)
@SonicTheHedgehogRules It's only 4 episodes since it was last used: Nightmare in Silver.
That's pretty much already said about the Sonic Screwdriver. There's a reason it was removed in the 1980's, maybe that same reason is only a year away.
@mczolly They should really just use it at the beginning of an episode, when the Doctor needs to introduce himself, so they don't have to waste the first 20 minutes of the episode with the doctor having to prove himself to people. It should never be used to resolve the problem, like the sonic screwdriver seems to be doing lately.
@The Watchful Guardian @SonicTheHedgehogRules That's still a year and a half ago.
Nightmare in Silver is entirely forgetable anyway, so excuse me for not remembering it's last usage. =P
But when was the time before that? Hide, I think?
@type41tardis @mczolly I liked how it was used in the Tennant era. Take Midnight, for example. Ten uses it to show qualifications in order to get certain places, but there's nothing like "Hey look, Daleks, I'm not the Doctor, I'm Davros!" to get out of a pinch. That's how it should be used: a tool to keep the story moving. Since Moffat, it's been used mostly to send messages, which I'm not very keen on...
@SonicTheHedgehogRules personally I really liked NIS, but I agree it's great to see the psychic paper.
