The Sarah Jane Adventures

In 2006, the BBC announced The Sarah Jane Adventures. A spin-off series created by Russell T Davies starring Doctor Who character Sarah Jane Smith played by Elizabeth Sladen.

Set in present-day West London,13-year-old neighbour Maria (Yasmin Paige) forms an unlikely alliance with investigative journalist Sarah Jane to fight evil alien forces at work in Britain.

The 'pilot' episode, Invasion of the Bane was broadcast on New Years Day 2007. A ten part series followed on the 24th September 2007.
