Jack’s Return: “Watch this space”
John Barrowman has once more been chatting about returning to the role of Captain Jack in both Doctor Who and Torchwood.
Speaking at this year’s Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2), he first spoke about Doctor Who and a possible meeting with the 11th Doctor: “I’ve spoken to Russell [T. Davies] about it and he thinks it would be a great idea for Jack to meet Matt Smith’s Doctor.
“Matt and I actually had a conversation about it at the BBC and he thought it would be a great idea; Steven [Moffat] said it would be a great idea.”
He added: “Great ideas sometimes never happen and sometimes they do. You’ll just have to watch this space!”
Regarding Torchwood, he said: “If they wanted to do more Torchwood, I would be back at the drop of a hat.
“I would be very upset if they did it without me and went another direction. I would be gutted. I don’t think the fans would enjoy it without Captain Jack.”
“Captain Jack is an iconic figure; he’s a hero. No matter where I am, as long as it works out in my schedule, I will come back to play him. But who knows what’s going to happen.”
