Happy New Year!

2013 has officially arrived and it doesn’t get any bigger for Doctor Who as the show approaches its landmark 50-year anniversary!

2012 marked another year of changes for the show, with a later broadcast in the Autumn and another split series. We said a tearful goodbye to Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill and welcomed Jenna-Louise Coleman as the new companion (twice!) We also got a brand TARDIS interior and title sequence, as if that wasn’t enough.

But this year is set to eclipse it all. Doctor Who returns for eight episodes in April and then we have the big day in November. Details on how exactly it will be celebrated are yet to be revealed. One thing we do know though is that we also have Mark Gatiss’ docudrama, An Adventure in Time and Space, to look forward to. More details and casting are expected to be revealed soon.

Lastly, Doctor Who TV would just like to thank all our readers and contributors for helping make 2012 another big year for the site. It’s been great to see the community grow so much and we look forward to seeing it continue in 2013.
