We are now just one week away from the TV premiere of Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol. Over the next 7 days there are actually a few other Who related treats showing in the UK on TV that you may want to check out. Here’s some highlights.

Today

K9 (UK Terrestrial Premiere)
10am Channel 5 

Doctor Who spin-off starring the Time Lord’s robotic canine companion. Starkey and Jorjie discover a strange dog while trying to evade capture by the police.

Monday 20th December

Celebrity Eggheads
6pm BBC2

Former stars of the TV series Doctor Who -- Colin Baker, Katy Manning, Frazer Hines, Louise Jameson and John Leeson -- take on the Eggheads to win money for their chosen charity. Quiz show, presented by Dermot Murnaghan.

Friday 24th December

The Graham Norton Show (with Matt Smith)

Graham presents a festive helping of comedy and chat with a trio of guests whose programmes look set to be highlights of this year’s yuletide TV -- David Walliams and Matt Lucas, who star in new comedy show Come Fly with Me, and Doctor Who actor Matt Smith, appearing in his first Christmas adventure since taking over as the Time Lord.

Saturday 25th December

Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol

Amy and Rory are trapped on a crashing space liner, and the only way The Doctor can rescue them is to save the soul of a lonely old miser, in a festive edition of the time-travelling adventure, written by Steven Moffat. All the behind-the-scenes merriment of a good old-fashioned Doctor Who Christmas. Meet the Doctor and his companions as they set Cardiff alight and go backstage with the stars of the Dickensian Christmas Special. Michael Gambon talks of swapping his wizard’s wand for a taste of the Doctor’s time-travelling magic and Katherine Jenkins waxes lyrical about her acting debut. Plus interviews with Matt Smith, Michael Gambon, Katherine Jenkins and Steven Moffat.
