Christmas Day 2012 Ratings Top 10

doctor-clara-snowmen-rt2012Doctor Who was the fifth most watched show on Christmas Day 2012, according to early overnight viewing figures.

The Snowmen was watched by an average 7.6 million viewers. EastEnders was the most watched show again this year.

  1. EastEnders – 9.4m
  2. Coronation Street – 8.6m
  3. Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special – 7.8m
  4. The Royle Family – 7.7m
  5. Doctor Who – 7.6m
  6. Call the Midwife – 7.3m
  7. Downton Abbey – 6.8m
  8. BBC News – 6.1m
  9. Emmerdale – 6.0m
  10. BBC News 5.6m

This was lower than last year when Doctor Who was third most viewed, although it went out in a later timeslot. Still, things will inevitably increase in the final figure.

  8. The Gruffalo’s Child – 6.5 million
  9. Michael McIntyre’s Christmas Comedy Roadshow – 6.4 million
  10. All Star Family Fortunes – 6.4 million
